Maria is an academic entrepreneur. She studied Doctor of Philosophy in Management from University of Technology Sydney (UTS), master degree with specialization in International Finance from University of Indonesia, and undergraduate in finance from Trisakti University, Jakarta. She is the Executive Director of a research center at the Trisakti University, CECT (Center for Entrepreneurship, Change and Third Sector) and Founding Director of Master Degree programs with specialization in Community Enterprise and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Maria received grants from the Ford Foundation and the British Council Jakarta when she established those programs. She has been a board of advisory to the British Council Jakarta since 2010 for their program of “Arthur Guinness Funds Community Entrepreneurship Challenge”, and part of the judging panel.
