About Earnshaw

Earnshaw State College was established in 2003 and comprises three sub-schools: Junior School (Prep to Year 5), Middle School (Year 6 to Year 9) and Senior School (Year 10 to Year 12) and has a current enrolment of approximately 650 students. It is a part of an education precinct which includes early childhood centres and the Australian Catholic University (McCauley Campus).

Students are drawn from a broad range of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. A significant number of students follow multiple generations of relatives who attended both Nudgee State School and Banyo State High School.

College facilities are excellent with a mix of new and newly refurbished buildings set in 8 hectares of well developed grounds and sporting fields. The college has its own heated 25 metre pool and world class sports hall, both of which are also accessed by the community.

GEC Background

Earnshaw State College first entered a team in the Global Enterprise Challenge in 2007. That year, the team attended the Sydney-based challenge and received the Teamwork Award.

Since then, the college has participated in four challenges, becoming the first Australian team to win the global challenge in 2010. Earnshaw has been both the Australian winner and overall global winner for the last three years in succession.
