Professor Dr Harald von Kortzfleisch currently works as a full professor for Information and Innovation Management, Entrepreneurship and Organization Design at the Institute for Management, Informatics Faculty, at the University of Koblenz-Landau. He studied business administration at the University of Cologne and graduated in 1987. After obtaining his doctorate in 1993 at this university he was a scholarship post-doc student of the Allianz insurance company at the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, USA. 1997 he was invited to research at the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST), School of Knowledge Science of Ikujiro Nonaka. He was also a scholar student of the Fritz Thyssen Foundation at the NYU Stern School of Business, New York in 2000.
Harald von Kortzfleisch won the "Innovationspreis 1997“ of the initiative "treffpunkt@rbeit“ and he was also nominated for the „Eisenhower Exchange Fellowship Program 1998“. He is member of many academic institutions, among others the MIT Club of Germany. He is co-publisher of e-JOV, The Electronic Journal on Organizational Virtualness and many book series. He published more than 75 articles and books.
Since 2007 he is leader of the research group Management of Information Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Organizational Design at the University, Koblenz-Landau. Currently, he is the founder and director of the School of Entrepreneneurial Design Thinking® - The ED-School, as well as the Central Institute of Scientific Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer of the University of Koblenz-Landau.
His research foci are information management, innovation management, entrepreneurship, organization design, electronic business/ electronic commerce, media management, information technology and science management.
Qualifications: He has degrees in economic sciences and business information systems and obtained his doctorate in 1993 at the University of Cologne. He habilitated in Kassel in 2003.
