About Earnshaw State College

Earnshaw State College is a thriving P-12 Independent Public School located in Banyo amid a vibrant and growing business district situated close to Brisbane Airport. With a current enrolment of approximately seven hundred students, the college serves the immediate community of Banyo, Nudgee and Nudgee Beach. Students are drawn not only from these suburbs, but also from neighbouring areas, particularly those serviced by rail links.

Earnshaw’s location, and seamless P-12 approach to schooling, facilitates the delivery of unique and exciting learning opportunities for our students. We are proud to be part of state education and as such we are committed to our college values: diligence, integrity, courage, empathy.

GEC Background

Earnshaw State College first entered a team in the Global Enterprise Challenge in 2007. The team qualified for the GEC final which was then held in Sydney. At this event, the team received the Teamwork Award. The team’s first placing was in 2009 finishing in third. In 2010, Earnshaw State College won its first Australian GEC title and became the first, and still the only, Australian team to win the International section of the GEC. The college backed this up with successive Australian and International titles in 2011 and 2012. After a hiatus from the program, Earnshaw is back to try again in the new 12-hour format.
